These are the folks working to create the Pinnacle Project:
• Rich and Lin live in Hanover, NH with their youngest son Alex who's 14. Their older children are Eric, in college, and Laura, teaching in Massachusetts. Rich is a computer software designer, a singer and a juggler. Lin is a rheumatologist and a performer in her own right.
• Steve and Susie, together with their children Adam, 6 and Elizabeth 2, live in Philadelphia. Steve is a financial advisor and recovering lawyer. He lived in the Upper Valley while working at Dartmouth. He and Susie were both campers and counselors at a progressive local camp (Thoreau) on the Vermont side of the river.
• Faith and John live in Lyme, NH. Faith is a psychotherapist and John is a writer. They have two children.
• Chuck and Liz live in Thetford, VT. Jonas is 19 and is completing a gap year before beginning college in Tacoma, Washington next fall. Their 3 older sons, Silas, Ethan and Noah are out in the world. Chuck is a molecular biologist at Dartmouth. Liz is a professor at Vermont Law School where she directs the Semester in Practice, an external clinic. They have identical twin grandsons who live close-by in NH and a grandson who lives in Portland, OR.
• Barbara lives in Hollis, NH. Her older daughter Sarah, 19, spent a gap year in Barcelona and now at Smith College studying art and philosophy. Younger daughter Julia is 17 and in high school. Barbara is Development Director for a non-profit (the Way Home) in Manchester, NH that helps low-income families avoid homelessness. She laments that there are not enough hours in the day for her other interests, which include gardening, ceramics, walking/hiking, cooking, swing dancing, reading, cross-country skiing, playing board games, and conversing over a glass of wine or cup of java.
• Linda lives in Westford, MA with her 2 daughters - Maria (17) and Laura (15). Linda works as a technical account manager for a software company and her current hobbies are focused on her home and her kids. Maria plays the oboe, is on the track team, and loves to dance. Laura loves sports - in the last year she has been on soccer, basketball, and flag football teams where she is fearless and has fun. Both girls love fishing in Post Pond, especially when Steve Blum is giving them a hand.
• Andra, Gerald and Ana Claudia live in Newton, MA. Andra is a lawyer and flutist and Gerry is a molecular biologist. Ana Claudia, 6, loves to play and is becoming quite the reader.
• Amy and Jay are innkeepers at the Lodge and the glue (with Juliet, their 6 year old daughter) who keep the Lodge together. They met in the Hudson River Valley, where Amy worked at the Omega Institute and Jay built things and sang and played guitar. They came to us from Cape Cod, where they had been managing a cabin-based resort called Seaside.
• Judith and Evelyne live in Maryland. Both are linguists. Judy is with the University of Maryland and does consulting and Evelyne works on video with a small group of computer folks. Elia and Mina are their 9 and 12 year old daughters. Lisa and Ivan are Judy’s grown up kids. They also have 2 grandchildren.
• Joyce, who grew up on a farm in Ohio and is very excited about gardening and having animals again, commutes to Franconia, NH where she is Director of Quality for Garnet Hill catalogue.
• Carola, originally from New York, lives on the banks of the Connecticut River in Lyme. She has two grown children, Creston and Erika, and one grandchild, Cora, who is two. Carola is active with Vital Communities, the Lyme Energy Committee and the Dartmouth International Student Program. She looks forward to playing with her grandchildren by Post Pond.
• Jenny is a psychiatric group therapist at DHMC, originally from the UK, whose grandchildren live in Denmark.
• Kirk and Diane live in Kansas where Kirk practices with Shook, Hardy and Bacon and Diane is Vice President of Development for Hope House, Inc. They lived in Vermont while Kirk went to Vermont Law School and Diane worked at Dartmouth. Their boys, Max and George, will soon be old enough to go to sleep away camp when they aren’t hanging out on Post Pond.
• Richard and Victoria live in San Francisco, CA. Richard is a lawyer and author and amateur musician. Victoria also studied law and now teaches bodywork and yoga, and also is an oil and mixed-media painter. Richard's kids and Victoria step-kids, Jesse, Gabe, Maya and are all grown up.
